R. Kelly, Keys Enter Ali Ring

The soundtrack to Ali, starring Will Smith in the title roll, will feature new material Rosetta Stone Spanish from R. Kelly, Alicia Keys and Everlast. Kelly, whose hit "I Believe I Can Fly" came from 1996s Space Jam soundtrack, contributed two new, Ali-inspired songs, "The Worlds Greatest," the albums leadoff track and first single, and "Hold On." Keys appropriately titled "Fight" and "The Greatest" from former-boxer Everlast were also written with the Champ in mind. The collection also features classic material from Aretha Franklin and Al Green, and more contemporary tracks from Bilal and Angie Stone, among others. Ali, directed by Michael Mann and also starring Jamie Foxx and Jon Voight, hits theatres on Christmas day. The complete track listing for the Ali soundtrack: R. Santana and the Stone Pony had balked at working actively with the organization, as they were still active in negotiations with the developers. After talks between the Stone Pony and developers broke off, Santana joined the fray. "Im going to take a frontline position from this day forward to fight and stay there," he says. "All along their plans called for condos on Ocean Avenue [where the club is located], so were the thorn in their side. Its a numbers game to these bottom-feeders. Theyre in it for the money, and they dont care about the history."According to Santana, development plans called for pushing the citys entertainment venues south, a plan he says will outrage Ocean Grove. "They will rage over our town and music and the noise pollution," he says. "That was a very Methodist community; you couldnt even drive in that town on Sundays until about five or Rosetta Stone Italian V3 six years ago. Its a very religious town, and they would rage when we had one of the hard, modern shows with all the piercings and spiked purple hair floating in the area.
