Robert PlantAlison Krauss Working On Raising Sand Follow-Up

After winning five Grammys this past weekend, including Album of the Year for Rosetta Stone Raising Sand, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss are already back in the studio with T Bone Burnett working on the follow-up to their platinum-selling LP. Thanks to the huge Grammy night, Raising Sand is on pace to top this weeks sales chart, despite not even being on the Top 200 two weeks ago."Alison and Robert have been in the studio for about two weeks and although we havent heard any of the music, weve been hearing good things from the musicians," said Rounder Records Ken Irwin in an e-mail to Country Standard Time. Burnett recently spoke to Cheap Rosetta Stone V3 Rosetta Stone about PlantKrauss for a story in the next issue (which hits stands next week). "The one thing we certainly cant do is try and repeat [Raising Sand]," he told us. "That was a moment in time and a beautiful moment, so to try and do that sort of thing again would detract from that." He adds, "Hopefully we have at least two more records in us."Its kind of hard to be disappointed by news that the winners of the Album of the Year award are recording a follow-up, but this info likely doesnt sit well with Led Zeppelin fans who were hoping that the group would finally reunite for a full-scale tour once Plant fulfilled his touring obligations with Krauss. A new album probably means another tour, even though Plant said he wouldnt tour for "at least two years" after his first tour with Krauss ended.Though many assumed Rosetta Stone Arabic Plant and Krauss would release a live CD/DVD before another album, Irwin said theres no plan for a DVD at this time. Irwin was also unsure of the new albums release date: "We set our release dates when we get all the pieces in place and at this point, we dont have any yet." I have more obscure heroes like Frida Kahlo, Martha Graham and Eleanor Roosevelt. For American Life, I would say Michael Moore and Che Guevara.
